Ford Motor Company files patent for kill switch technology The kill switch isn't coming...it's here!

Ford Motor Company's technology is the first to try and implement the passive monitoring of drivers that congress mandated under Biden in 2021 that asks manufacturers to determine if impairment is detected and cut power to your car. Ford's patent uses its technology to determine if you're unfit to drive, and it will keep you from being able to start your car. It goes beyond determining if your drunk, this is using a massive system of cameras (facing drivers in their vehicles), listening devices (to record and telegraph what you and your pasengers are talking about), touch sensors (in your steering wheel) and more to detect 'impairment' of ANY kind and keep you from driving. It mentions sensing your emotional state. So what if you're fleeing danger and, naturally, your body reflects that, this technology would keep your car from starting. It's like an interlock device for drunks without you ever being convicted of any crime. It violates our 4th amendment rights, our privacy, and our data -- it'll telegraph all of it to your insurance company, too!
