NOTE: Our focus for this voter guide is only on contested races
Vote ‘No’ on the Austin Transportation Bond
(See why here and here)
US Congressional Races
Toss-up, no good choice -
Will Hurd - CD 23 (voted to continue taxpayer subsidies for toll roads and to allow more states to toll existing interstates by ‘Yes’ vote on the FAST Act.) vs. Pete Gallego (Earned F on TURF 2011 Session Report Card while a State Rep.)
Texas Supreme Court
For Texas Supreme Court, we recommend supporting all the current incumbents running for re-election (there are 3 up for re-election). They’ve been very good on property rights cases and have given us great case law to support future landowners faced with eminent domain abuse.

Local Races
Sam Brannon - San Marcos Mayor (longtime anti-toll supporter and activist. Endorsed by Texans for Toll-free Highways)*
Kevin Wolff - Pro-Toll incumbent for Bexar County Commissioner (has a long history of supporting toll roads. During the primary race, Wolff campaigned taking credit for removing tolls from the Hwy 281 plan. Once he won, he came out advocating tolls on 1604 because he doesn’t fear his Democrat opponent. Also was recently arrested for drunk driving)*
